Our Techniques

Chiropractic adjustments are used to correct structural imbalances.  The structural changes may be due to tense muscles, postural deformities, and improper nerve function.  The adjustment is a way to move a joint and change the tone of muscles around that joint.  The change in muscular tone has a feedback loop to the rest of the nervous system. At Family Chiropractors of Montclair we employ many different techniques to facilitate these changes. Once your problem is identified the doctor will utilize the technique best suited for you in order to correct your problem and enable your body to reach maximum health.

Chiropractic Practice Principles

• The body is a self-healing and self-regulating organism.

• The nerve system controls and coordinates all of the functions in the body.

• Any interference with the nerve system inhibits the body’s ability to
  regulate and heal itself.

• Interference to the nerve system is most commonly caused by misalignment
  of the bones called “subluxations.”

• “Subluxations” are most often caused by slips and falls, car accidents, stress,
poor posture, poor sleep habits, sports impacts, birth process, etc.

• Maintaining a healthy and well-aligned spine enhances the body’s ability to
  get and stay well.
